Andrew Gamble appointed as Senior Adviser to Altica Partners

Dubai based, pan-African investment firm Altica Partners today announced that Andrew Gamble will join the firm as a senior adviser.

"Andrew's years of experience in steering global capital into sub Saharan Africa and other emerging markets make him ideally positioned to provide Altica with strategic advice on our mission to increase capital flows into Africa. His appointment demonstrates our commitment to the highest standards of governance and oversight as we grow the firm" said Dawda Jawara III, Partner and General Counsel, Altica Partners.

Andrew was a partner in Hogan Lovells and its predecessor firms for 32 years during which time he held positions as Head of the International Banking Practice, London Regional Managing Partner and Head of the Africa Practice. Over the past 25 years, he has been heavily involved in international finance, acting both for borrowers and bank syndicates. This work has entailed advising banks and structuring financings for the benefit of entities in CIS, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

Andrew has also led the teams acting for the Governments of Sierra Leone, Guyana, Mozambique and Ethiopia in the implementation of their World Bank / International Development Association sponsored debt reduction programs. He advised the Government of Nigeria on its Paris Club and London Club Debt. Andrew was retained by the Government and Central Bank of Ghana to devise, and successfully implement, the issue of inflation index-linked government bonds. He has worked with multi-lateral agencies such as the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Andrew currently serves on the boards of Afreximbank and Zenith Bank UK. He is also the Chairman of goAfrica Holdings Pte Ltd, a Singaporean holding company for an international group running a B2B platform focussed on the African continent.
